Crocodile hunting on a hot African afternoon in the Selous game reserve. With the bait laid, it’s time to settle into the blind by the side of a large waterhole surrounded by florid vegetation. Large numbers of crocodiles appear. Extraordinary prehistoric animals, they move around the bait at the edge of the water, but none of them are huntable and the interminable wait continues. Finally, a large crocodile appears. Its huge jaws clamp around the bait and the meat is minced in seconds – just enough time to take aim and let fly the fatal shot.
