Discover the smallest country of South America, offering a grand variety of impressions: the majestic mountain ranges of the Andes, intact white beaches and a fascinating fauna.
Our first DESTINATION is Quito, Ecuador’s colourful capital with 2,2 million inhabitants. The heart of the Colonial Old Town is the Plaza de la Independencia. Its Cathedral La Compania is a symbol of the Spanish emperors.
Quite the opposite is the typical little village of San Miguel el Quinchel, where we take part in the lively annual festival for the patron saint.
Ecuador is also a land of volcanoes. The highest active volcano is called Cotopaxi, a perfectly formed cone that gave the mountain its wonderful name: the neck of the moon.
