Winter in the Italian Alps is an experience of impressive beauty: the unique panorama of this towering mountain range called “Dolomites”, picturesque villages look like they are powdered with sugar – altogether one of the vastest ski areas in Europe.

Our first DESTINATION is the small Alp town of Sterzing. Only a few minutes from the centre of this typical South Tyrolian place a ropeway starts on its way up to the high mountaintop – a real paradise for skiers and snowboarders.

Even more widespread is the winter sport’s region of the “Tauferer Ahrntal”, surrounded by 80 mountains with a height of more than 3000 meters above sea level – and still an insider´s tip for all winter activities you can imagine. Why not race down the mountain serpentines on sledges? Even at night! Or try free climbing on icy walls.
